I'm glad that you and your wife have been fortunate during the pandemic, Bryan. We have as well. I think you're right that one of the hardest things about the pandemic is maintaining relationships that necessitate nearness but have to be cultivated at a distance.

Your closing paragraph is important, I think. Although social media is pervasive right now, it's not the only means of preserving our stories. Masks or other physical items will provide a means of telling our stories to our grandchildren.
