Great focus on the specific reading methods that help us address historical thinking skills. I appreciate the way you "read" a physical artifact here rather than written evidence.

For many of the reasons you've mentioned here, I tend to focus first on context when I evaluate historical evidence. Why do you think that it may be important to address context first (if you do)? Which other Cs can add to our understanding of the plate you've referenced here?
