Good point. There a lot of split opinion about Madero from the beginning of his rise to national prominence. Figures in the PLM like Ricardo Flores Magón always saw him as overly conservative, while others, like Camilo Arriaga, saw him as a reformer who reflected their ideas. Even within that group opinions were mixed. After doing the reading for class, what do you think? Was Madero an opportunist, a revolutionary, a reformer? Something else?
