As we'll see in coming chapters, Huerta and Villa hated each other. Interestingly, Villa remained loyal to Madero when others like Orozco and Zapata took up arms against him. Villa even maintained his loyalty when Huerta had him imprisoned and Madero failed to pardon him. Villa did emerge a hero to many, and a villain to others. I love that you shared a photo of the massive statue in Parral. I haven't visited yet, but really want to get there soon.
